Small Christian Communities (SCC)

September is a time for new beginnings and you are invited to join a Small Christian Community.  Come to learn, experience and discern if a SCC is something you want to include in your prayer life.

SCCs are small groups of parishioners who gather regularly for prayer and reflection.  These groups pray the scriptures for a coming Sunday Mass using a Lectio Divina process of connecting faith and life.  This is not a bible study but instead a prayer process of looking at life through the lens of the scriptures.

There are several groups at St. Matthew and St. Bernard who meet on a monthly schedule and are looking for a few new members.  You are invited to learn more and try out one of the following groups without making a commitment to joining the group.

A group that meets in the early afternoon on Monday once a month.  Join us in prayer, reflection and friendship as we take turns hosting in our homes.
A group that meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6:00pm in Chapel at St. Matthew Church.

Call Deacon Mike Berstene at 860-875-0753 x 313 to learn more and/or to be introduced to one of the groups
