Pastor's Page - November

Posted on November 19, 2017 in: Pastor's Thoughts

Dear Parish family,

This month we remember and pray for the 119 people who passed away last year from our two communities.  Each one of their lives was a precious gift from God that touched lives, raised families, loved enthusiastically and sacrificed willingly.  How different life is without them.  I wonder if our loved ones understood what a powerful influence they had on us and the world.  Do we understand the potential we have to make a positive difference in the lives of others? It’s part of God’s plan that by our example, talent, time and treasure we transform the world and those we encounter along life’s journey. In the Gospel of Matthew 5:14  we read these words: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

We give thanks to God for the beautiful lives we honor this month, we give thanks for the life that is our own and we give thanks for the faith that directs us throughout the seasons of life.

With Gratitude,
Fr. Rick

Dear Parish Family,

I wanted to write this note of appreciation to everyone who was involved in our recent Ministry Fairs. I can’t tell you how moving it is for me to witness the faithful, creative, hardworking people of our parishes. To observe the many ministries that are involved in our parishes is a sure sign of a healthy, growing and vibrant parish family. We are blessed.

A special thank you to our two coordinators – Debbie Secondo and Karen Daigle. Their organizational and motivational skills were very evident. Thank you for rounding up the troops and providing an environment that was conducive to learning, communicating and discovering. And a sincere thank you to the God who has brought us all together. May he continue to guide, protect and bless our communities.

With peace,

Fr. Rick
