To middle, high school and college students: Do you wish you could commit to singing at Church, but feel short on time? Then the St Matthew Church Monthly Youth Group would love to have you join us! Dear Parishioners, Unless you’re an allergy sufferer, who doesn’t love the month of May?  May is a month where we see our world transformed from dreary shades of brown to the vibrant shades associated with spring. We will be holding our Confirmation Rehearsal on May 31 at St. Matthew Church.  Rehearsal will begin at 6pm and will conclude with a Penance Service.  Sponsors and Candidates should meet in the Parish Hall. Confirmation will take place at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, Norwich on June 5.  Sponsors and Candidates, please be at the Cathedral by 1pm and gather in the Hall.

Ministry Scheduler Needed

St. Matthew’s is in need of someone to coordinate ministry schedules for Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors.  With the use of “user friendly” ParishSoft Ministry Scheduler Software, the administrator sends emails to liturgical ministers detailing the Mass times where coverage is needed.  ParishSoft Ministry Scheduler then creates the schedule.  The schedule is created every three months.  Training and a webinar are available.  If you are interested or can help, please call the Parish Office at 860-872-0200.

KNIGHTS OF Columbus/St. Matthew’s Scholarship applications are now available at the Tolland and East Catholic High School guidance offices and at the St. Matthew Parish Office. The scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior who is a resident of Tolland, or whose family is registered with St. Matthew Parish, and who has been accepted by an accredited college or university as a full time student. Completed applications are due to the Parish Office or the address listed on the application no later than Friday, May 13th.
