Christmas Thank You from Fr. Rick

Posted on December 26, 2017 in: General News

Dear Parish Family, On behalf of Fr. Ellis, Fr. Bill,  Dcn. Ron and Dcn. Michael  I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made our Christmas Masses so beautiful, joyful, faith affirming and reverent.  The weather was a challenge but the Spirit was truly present as we raised our voices in song and prayer.  How blessed we are to have two such wonderful parishes.  I begin the litany of gratitude by thanking Norma and Rebecca our two music directors, the two choirs, the cantors and accompanist for sharing their gifts with us.  There is nothing quite like hearing a congreg...

The names of active members of the military are kept in our St. Michael the Angel Prayer Book to keep them in prayer during their service to our country. If you would like your family member added to the book or if they have returned from service, please contact the Parish Secretary so we may keep the book current. We prayed for these active military members during our Advent Penance service and will continue to pray for them. Please note for security reasons, we no longer publish the names of active military members in our bulletin.

Dear Parish Family, One of our favorite Christmas Carols announces that December is “the most wonderful time of the year.”  And for the most part, I would agree wholeheartedly with that note and sing along with the rest of the world.  But if we’re honest with ourselves, we would also say that it is one of the most challenging times of the year for Christians who desire to journey through the season of Advent in a manner prescribed by the Church.  At this, most wonderful time of the year, our senses are barraged with beautiful lights, festive music, storewide sales and fast paced living.&...
