Vernon Chorale Presents - A Christmas Rose December 9th at 7:30pm At St. Bernard Church Ehren Brown conducts the Vernon Chorale's winter concert which features Morten Lauridsen's Les Chansons des Roses. The concert also includes seasonal works by Bruckner, Clements, Meader, and Praetorius. Conducting Fellow Liz Bologna, cantor/soloist for St. Bernard, also debuts, directing works by Judith Weir. Join the music ministries from St. Bernard & St. Matthew for a special start to our Advent season! The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that was introduced in 1918. In this service, we listen to nine brief Scripture lessons, which recount the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Birth of Jesus, the Shepherds, the Wise Men and the Incarnation. Thanksgiving Food Drive - now until November 23rd Parishioners are invited to bring food items in until Thanksgiving morning.
