The Great Music Swap

This weekend our two music directors, Norma Marchesani and Rebecca Urrutia, will be taking their ministries on the road!!!  The St. Matthew music team will be performing at St. Bernard Church and the St. Bernard music team will be performing at St. Matthew Church.  I appreciate all their efforts and coordination to make this happen.  I know our community will enjoy hearing the different voices leading us in song and giving praise to God.

RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It is the process by which adults are gradually initiated into the life and sacraments of the Catholic Church. It is comprised of various steps along the way.  Each transition is marked by a rite or a special ceremony within the public liturgy. Underlying these are the classes where the individual learns the basics of the Catholic faith. Classes are held Tuesdays at 7:00pm in Classroom #2 of the St. Matthew Church Center. We are blessed to have a great bunch of kids who look forward to spending time at our Children’s Liturgy at the 10:30am Mass on Sunday mornings and we are seeking volunteers to continue to support our program. We have a simple format to our celebration that the kids enjoy.  This is a wonderful opportunity for teenagers in the Confirmation Program or who have been newly confirmed.  We also encourage parents of kids who attend our Children’s Liturgy celebrations to consider volunteering.  You’re already there at Mass so why not head on down and share your time.  No prior exper...
