In honor of the Feast of St. Blaise (February 3rd) we will bless throats after each Mass at both St. Bernard and St. Matthew this weekend. Through this blessing we pray for the intercession of St. Blaise to protect us from illnesses of the throat and all other illnesses. We pray that both our spiritual and physical bodies will be made pure and healthy so that we may better serve our God in life and love.

The practice of requesting a Mass to be offered for a loved one – living or deceased – is a beautiful and wonderful part of our Catholic tradition.  Due to the increased number of Mass requests and the desire to allow as many parishioners and friends as possible to schedule Masses, the following guidelines will apply. 1.  On July 1st of every year, the Mass book for the following calendar year will be open for Mass requests. The Mass book for calendar year 2020 will open Monday, July 1, 2019. 2.  There will be a limit of 6 Masses per household – 3 special individual intentions on...
